my mate has just located a nice spot for catching some roach for pike fishing. he used a live one and when no pike where being boated anywhere else he snagged a nice one of eightpound waiting on pics. any opinions on use of live bait as opposed to dead bait.
Hi knocavoeboy. I'm not sure where you are but live baiting is not legal in the republic, not sure about the north though. Just a bit of food for thought.

iknow live baiting is illegal in republic.i know a dead bait that i know out fishes any live baits so far.try lamprey its full of oil and blood its serious tough and one bit can last all day.anglers world in navan co meath stocks and posts it too you.i think its best bait i ever tried try it for yourself
