Stop Salmon Drift Nets Now is a single-focus, not-for-profit organisation founded at a meeting in Athlone on 24 July, 2004. Representatives of the main game angling federations, fishery owners and tourism interests came together to campaign for the ending of the single largest threat to the survival of the Atlantic salmon - drift netting for salmon at sea.
