Hi All,
Was fishing on the glendunn river yesterday. No sign of salmon or sea trout but a mass of minute brownies! My friend and I must have pulled in about 30 between us. Anyone any experience of this river? We fished nearly every pool along its length right up into the hills.
I was reading on the internet about the existence of a barrage at the mouth of the Glendun river and the effect it was having on the salmon has anyone else heard about this? Is there a spring run of fish in this river?
Hi Sean,
I found that out yesterday (to my cost) that the Dun doesn't open till the 1st June. As a friend and myself had taken the bus the only option was to walk back to Cushendall and buy a permit for the Dall river! At least it was a nice day unfortunately though I didn't catch any fish but it sure is a nice river.
