Well its time for me to hang up my rod til next march. Ive had a good season, caught plenty of trout, heaviest 3lb on worm at the settler carrick, but most enjoyable were the 2lb on the fly, and the 2 1/2 wild brown on the mourne. My most exciting moment was when i hooked a heavy salmon under the railway bridge at the mourne, using a flying c but sadly lost it about 8ft from the bank so salmon 1 me 0 full time.
How did the rest of yous do this year?

had a brilliant start to the season, catchign small seatrout on the glens rivers, as the summer came in i got a nice weeks salmon fishing on the moy which produced 4 salmon for me, one of which was my first on the fly towards the end of the summer i started a bti of sea fishing, and caught bloody well nothing, but great fun.missed out on the last 2 months of fishing due to the hunting season starting, but cant complain with this years sport.
