Theres a wee river at dundrum co down called the carrigs, and up until 15years ago, got a good run of salmon, and some good seatrout. Then for some reason it died, and no one fished it for years. Myself and my mates all caught salmon there. I took trip there on sunday, and first checked out the pool at the twelve arches. The tide was well on its way out, and we seen some good sized salmon going back out with it. We then checked out the river up stream and the water was too low, as its a spate river, needs another good downpour. But i seen tracks along the banks, and the usual fishersmans litter like bits of line, hook packets and worm tubs, so ive a feeling its back in business. Do any of you know, or heard anything about it? Its free fishing, and not too big of a drive from belfast. Its a small river and needs the water before you can fish it. I'll keep my eye on it and if it rains i'll give it a go this weekend, and let you know.

Theres a wee river running through the glyn and glenoe caught a few nice wee fish at the pool below the waterfall last week. Anyone else any experience with this river? Was thinking of trying the lower stretches after some heavy rainfall to see if theres any seatrout there.
