Mackerel from the pier at nightForgive my ignorance but I need desperately to find out is it possible to fish for mackerel at night from piers? Is any equip or technique needed such as use of a very strong flashlight? All help greatly appreciated

if the tide is right, and the fish are in, they will usually take anything in any shade of light

Any thing that glitters will take mackerel from the pier at any time of day or night. If they're there.
