my self and a mate went for a half days course fishing in what i would call a large pond in cavan. he had caught roach to 2.5lbs(have to find photo) not today, fishin was bad all we were getting was fingerlings barely an ounce, he reckons somebody ate all the fish ,i wonder who would do that?. i landed one nice roach of 1lbs . not to worry i had a trout that i confiscated from a muppet with no permit on the tolka,i chopped it in half and cast it down the other end (thats how small this lake is)and left it there almost forgetting about it, then after a few hours i heard a single beep that was it ,so i clicked the rear drag a couple to the left and the alarm started screeming i lifted into it and fish on, the fish was landed swiftly(no messin around) a low double not a monster i know, but a great little bonus on small venue like that
